Human Bones Found with Shots Holes in a Mpumalanga farm

Police in Delmas have opened a case following the discovery of human bones near a wood field. Police are investigating an inquest case following the discovery of human bones on Thursday evening.

Police said according to information at their disposal, on the said day, police were informed about the discovery of human bones made by a person who was collecting wood in the field at Kekpoort farm. When police arrived on the scene in Delmas, to their surprise, they confirmed that human bones were indeed found in the area.

Police further said that they also noticed two small holes in the skull which suggests the possibility of a person having been shot.

The members also discovered that there were two cable ties attached to the bones which shows that the person could have been tied as well. Other items found with the bones include a black jacket as well as black trousers however the clothes were torn. The gender of the person in this regard has not yet been determined. Police cannot rule out the possibility of the charge being changed to murder pending further investigations.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said urged the public to come forward with any information regarding the discovery of human bones or anyone who might have been looking for a loved one probably wearing similar clothes as described to immediately contact the police at Delmas.

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has indicated that this matter will be investigated with the hope to uncover what has led to the death of this human being.
