Two Mpumalanga police sentenced for corruption

The two crime intelligence Mpumalanga officers, are accused of submitting fraudulent claim invoices after they shared a room but instead submitted two invoices.

According to the Hawks in Mpumalanga, Warrant Officer Sello Tseke aged 38 and Constable Mokomane Tau 36 were convicted for fraud by the Middelburg Regional Court on Thursday.

Hawks spokesperson Captain, Dineo Sekgododi says the matter was reported to the Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation Mpumalanga, and the accused were arrested.

“The accused were sentenced to R5 000 or 12 months imprisonment plus 5 years wholly suspended for 4 years,” added Sekgododi in a press statement.
